I am interested in different ways that tallgrass prairies can be reincorporated into the landscape - particularly in ways where the prairies can produce both ecosystem goods and services. My Ph.D. research focuses on growing prairies as a bioenergy crop and comparing the prairies to continuous corn systems. Matt Liebman and I discuss how to establish and manage prairies for multiple applied uses in our ISU University Extension publication titled "Incorporating Prairies into Multifunctional Landscapes." |
